AI, DEEP LEARNING AND VIDEO ANALYSIS IN SUPPORT OF PHYSICAL SECURITY
SECURITY – VIDEO SURVEILLANCE and GDPR.

In technical terms, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that allows the programming and design of both hardware and software systems that permit to equip machines with certain characteristics that are considered typically human, such as, for example, visual, space-time and decision-making perceptions.

That is to say, it is not only about intelligence understood as the ability to calculate or to know abstract data. In fact, an intelligent system is created by trying to recreate one or more of these different forms of intelligence, which, although often defined as simply human, can actually be traced back to particular behaviors reproducible by some machines.

Artificial Intelligence represents a great technological revolution in the field of security and video surveillance in general. AI offers a new approach to be able to extrapolate content from images of video surveillance cameras, based on the latest Deep Learning technologies.

Deep Learning, inspired by the way the human brain works, is based on a learning process layered to allow the processor to classify and store data. It is a cumulative process where multiple elements are caught, improving the precision and accuracy of the information provided.

The advantages of this technology for face recognition and image classification make it extremely competitive in the security field.
Applications go from recognizing a face or vehicle, to analyzing behavior, rather than changing a situation in the shooting area.
Assisted by these emerging technologies, Lan & Wan Solutions has consolidated an approach that allows us to give very rapid answers to customer needs, making possible a massive specialization of our video surveillance solutions, applying them in the most diverse sectors of the real economy.
